Palm Pixi contracts are not yet available at the moment, but the public is already looking for this mini version of the Pre; which is actually a misnomer, considering that the two are completely different devices despite that fact that they both use the WebOS.
There has been no announcement if the WebOS to be used on the Pixi will be the updated version of the WebOS (currently version 1.3.1), but this is most likely as it would remove the hassle of downloading the large firmware update for all new Pixi owners.
Keyboard, Hardware and More
The keyboard has been a favorite of Palm Pixi reviews, and why not, it works amazingly well. Despite being so small in size, this minute mobile phone managed to squeeze in a full QWERTY keyboard on the face and still have it easy to use. In fact, it is as good as the better BlackBerry messaging phones in terms of typing ease.
The keyboard is not the only bonus this phone has. Again, despite the small size, this phone packs a 2.63 inch capacitive touch screen display, a 2 megapixel camera and even a 600MHZ Qualcomm MSM7627 processor. That certainly says a lot of the phone, but even more astounding is the fact that it all fit under a slim 0.43 inches (yes, it is slimmer than the Apple iPhone).
The Pixi also has 8GB of storage for media and files –no micro SD which might explain the large storage, but at least it has a micro USB for transferring files and images. Speaking of images, the 2MP camera is supported by LED flash, making low light settings a worry of the past.

For now, this little Pixi is not yet available on deals on contracts. O2 has already implied that they might carry the device but gave no further comment since.

We have been using the Palm Pre barely two months and surprisingly three updates have already been released.
The latest version of this update which is the version 1.3.1, supports calendar and contact synchronization with LinkedIn and even Yahoo!. This is a new development as previous updates only allowed contact synchronization only with LinkedIn. Use of email on the Palm Pre was also rated five stars nevertheless this new updates brings about a variety of features, you now have the luxury of time-saving shortcuts like copy/paste paragraphs, search to filter and even the possibility to forward text and instant messages directly from their messaging apps.
If you recall, there were various bugs associated with the device, now this update fixes such bugs and also comprehensive list of tweaks are now available on the Palm website. It is no longer news that Palm and Apple are at logger heads so one will not be surprised as there is a conspicuous absent of iTunes synchronization still on their platform
This is definitely worth recommendation (One of the hottest social bookmarking thingy of all times) The facebook, Yes the Facebook app has finally been added. You can obtain this app at athe App catalog or can get it automatically when the update is downloaded. Users of the Pre (and Pixi in the US to be released next year) will automatically get contacted when the update is available, it will trigger the mobile device to automatically download it if within a WiFi environment. If a download with WiFi isn’t possible within the 1st 2 days, the update will then be initiated using 3G wireless data connection.

The latest product from the pioneers of the smartphone, Palm, is set to be launched on October 20. Not only that, but your phone will be able to integrate all your contacts and event calendars from different accounts. It also features an online experience as accessed from a computer and you won’t be encountering the mobile versions of websites.
Palm has certainly improved the design of its phones and the designs of the new Palm webOS devices are clearly evident of this fact. Palm Pixi offers a very attractive design and display as well. Palm Pixi features a touch-screen interface, along with a key pad, but has a slightly smaller screen than Palm Pre, that is, 2.63 inches as compared to 3.1 inches in the latter. However, both the phones offer the 320 x 400 resolution. Palm Pixi displays in 16-bit color, which offers a colorful visual experience for the user.
