It really is funny how time flies. It feels like only a couple of few ago that a list of features such as the one below for the Nokia 2730 Classic would attract ooohhs and aahhhs from people and would most likely be attached to the most expensive of high-end fancy phones:
- 3G
- dual-band UMTS and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support
- 2 megapixel camera
- Bluetooth 2.0 +ED (stereo)
- USB 2.0
- Flash Lite 3.0
- MIDP Java 2.1 with apps included
- Multimedia player
- FM radio
- 3.5mm audio socket
- 1GB memory card and stereo wired headset
- Nokia maps pre-installed
- 17 days standby
- 88 grams
Wait… it was only a few years ago! But then that’s how the technology world moves, we guess. So we’re not excited about this because of exactly what it’s offering – there’s nothing new or particularly special about any of its features. But what is special is that all this is being offered on the Nokia 2730 Classic at an obscenely low price. Quoted from Nokia as being launched at a paltry 80 Euros before taxes and other subidies, we’re racking our brain to think of the last time a bargain this delicious came our way.
Because – look at it – it’s also a bit of a looker this phone. So we reckon this might just be one of those phones that, seemingly from nowhere, every other person you know will have one. It certainly won’t please those flash friends of your who always want the latest and best, but the Nokia 2730 Classic going to make a hell of people very happy indeed.
