Samsung B3310It’s Pink! Sure enough that is what many fathers around the UK will be hearing this holiday season.  The Samsung B3310 is Samsung’s entry level phone aimed at young teenage girls in the UK. With a lot of flash and some pretty good technology this will further bolster Samsungs competitive stance in the UK’s teenage mobile space. Especially for those teens getting their first phones.

The most noticeable features are the new keyboard style present on both the face, and the slide out keyboard. The two separate keyboards integrate into a near desktop like feel with the numeric numbers directly above the slide out. This makes for some interesting texting possibilities. The outer keyboard mimics a standard numeric keypad unit. In case you’re not into the whole QWERTY thing either. Texting from the closed position anyone? Budget phone or not this is still a cool unit.

The features: All the normal features found on similar models are present on this unit. Bluetooth for hands free and data transfers, a 2.0 megapixel Camera with video capability. MP3 player, FM radio, and a microSD card slot for memory storage. Software features are included with this unit. You can connect to Facebook, MySpace, Flickr, and Photo bucket. In addition you can send/receive email and text messages very quickly. All because of this interesting keyboard setup. Here is the full Samsung B3310 details in case you’re wondering.

All of this in an entry level phone is a good deal considering some of the plans that are available, adding another line will be very popular in many UK households this holiday season. The mobile phone costs £50 from a variety of online sources on pay-as-you go plans. Remember this is a “budget” handset, aimed mostly at teenagers. It is not designed to compete with the more advance mobile phones.
