Samsung Genio TXTThe new keyboard toting GSM phone from Samsung may look a little out of place with its touch screen siblings, but it is the one that is most specialized. The obviously messaging based phone is a great alternative to the higher end BalckBerrys (such as the Curve or the Bold) and Palm Pixi; though people who want a little more function will want to take a pass on this device. But if all you need from the phone is messaging, a little media playback and a really cheap price (compared to other phones), then the Genio QWERTY would be a good fit for you.

Specs and Features

Genio QWERTY reviews will tell you that the keyboard is the main attraction of this mobile phone. The QWERTY keyboard is portrait oriented and is a good match for anyone who likes to do a lot of messaging. Though users with larger fingers may have a bit of trouble at first, getting used to the slightly flat layout is tough. Still, it does a decent job when you are pounding out long messages; just keep the pace at a considerable rate.

The device also sports a 2.2 inch TFT LCD that does a clean job at delivering clear images and a good font size when typing messages. The 2 mega pixel camera can shoot both images and videos but do not expect to be able to achieve high end photography with it.

Media functions such as music and video playback are also present in the Genio QWERTY.

Deals and Contracts

Interested buyers will find the Samsung Genio QWERTY on contract for free at various deals offered by Vodafone UK, T-Mobile and Orange Mobile UK For those who do not like having a monthly fee to pay, the device can also be obtained through pay as you go plans.
