Another superb phone to have been unveiled by Sony Ericsson during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona earlier this year is the Sony Ericsson Satio, the highlight of which is the monstrous 12 megapixel camera, which will get dedicated digital cameras looking behind their backs! Though details of the Sony Ericsson Satio, ‘leaked’ earlier, mentioned the name of the phone as Idou, it has now been given the name Sony Ericsson Satio and is set to be released by the end of the year.
There is bound to be a fair number of people who wonder as to whether a 12 megapixel camera is actually required for a phone. To be fair, it comes in handy for people who like to take some high quality pictures while on the go but don’t like to carry around a digital camera due to this. The Sony Ericsson Satio is armed with a 12.1 megapixel camera and has a large number of feature which we have come to expect of dedicated digital cameras such as auto focus (touch focus, face detection, image stabilizer, best pic, red eye reduction, smile detection, video light, photo feeds and photo fix. All these features ensure that you get top quality pictures from the camera. The amazing Xenon flash will mean that you can take clear pictures even if the light in the atmosphere is not bright enough.
Pictures which are captured by the phone camera can be geotagged as well. The other big highlight of the camera is the amazing 12x digital zoom. To be quite frank, the camera of the Sony Ericsson Satio is sure to give dedicated digital cameras a run for their money. The phone has a middle-line weight of 126 grams and is fairly slim at just 13.3 mm. The internal memory of the phone is 128 MB and can be expanded via the 8 GB microSD memory card which is provided in the retail package.
