LG-BlackLabelNew Addition to the LG Black Label Series Leaked

The rumor that a new LG Black is coming is truly worth looking forward to. LG has had a significant number of really good mobile phones in the past, but none of these phones are as impressive as the LG Black Series.

Starting with the original KG800 released last 2006 and the most recent mobile phone released last May 2008 (known as the LG Secret). People have been wondering, when will the next Black Label arrive? With over a year and a half since the last Black Label phone, LG seems to have had forgotten this epic line of mobile phones; from the looks of it, they have not.

The History of the Black Label

Targeting the high end crowd of tech critics and aficionados of high end technology, the Black Label series was meant to not just impress the crowd, but to create a solid footing for LG as a serious competitor in the mobile phone market.

It Started With Chocolate

Chocolate is the market name of the KG800 model and was released last 2006. This mobile phone was one of the most powerful at its time. Featuring tri-band GSM connectivity, many people were impressed by this phone. This was then followed by the LG KE970, better known as the LG Shine. The Shine was later released in a more luxurious incarnate, the titanium black edition.

The 4th Black Label

LG has recently confirmed that they are indeed working on the fourth generation mobile phone for the black label series. This next device is slated to use the famous LG S-Class touch user interface and is compatible with A-GPS, WiFi, HSDPA, and is also packed with a five mega pixel camera. There is no official word on the relapse date but rest assured that whole community is watching out for this.

LG_S-ClassThe LG-KM900, better known as the LG Arena utilizes a new user interface developed by LG. This new interface is labeled the S-Class Touch is a touch screen interface that utilizes many basic touch screen input commands in order to deliver a smooth and intuitive interface navigation experience.

Nothing So New

While the S-Class Touch is ultimately unoriginal, it serves it purpose well enough to warrant a tip of the hat. While other people may criticize LG for not being bolder in trying out newer things, the old adage still remains; do not fix what is not broken. The S-Class Touch does its job well and LG is likely to use this system in its upcoming mobile phones as well.

Scrolling is Fun

Touch interfaces naturally require the user to tap and glide their finger across the screen in order to move around or access objects. The same idea works for the S-Class touch UI. By sliding your finger, you can access any of four different and fully customizable home screens. While this number is two less than the more often used cube style interface, four is easier to manage. Content is then displayed in a reel-type presentation, with items moving vertically for selection.

The S-Class Feeling

The S-Class touch user interface is significantly complemented by the hardware of the LG-KM900. You can navigate quickly and easily with no graphical slowdowns or significant load times. The reason why other user interfaces have it though is because other mobile phones are unable to support the rapid input of commands and the processor is too slow.

Thanks to the advanced hardware of the KM900, the system responds rapidly to each and every single tap. This combination of proper hardware with excellent interface design creates a very smooth and pleasant experience when using the S-Class Touch UI.

Details are still few and far between on this flashy little number, but we don’t doubt it’s going to be something of a hit comes its Q3 release (testified to by the fact that it’ll be hitting the shelves of no less than 54 countries at more or less the same time. So are we excited about the LG BL40 Chocolate? Well, kinda. It is without doubt an absolutely stunning phone, a work of design craftsmanship to be proud of no matter how you look at it. That 4-inch screen is coated in a curved, tempered glass which is going to feel as delicious as, well, chocolate, we guess. And with a 21:9 ratio and a whopping 800 by 345 pixel resolution, that going to produce some truly stunning visuals. The promise is, in fact, that once the the LG BL40 Chocolate is rotated into landscape, it’s going to more or less remove the need for horizontal scrolling in order to see the full width of a normal web page. That we do like. However, don’t expect to be watching many movies or TV shows that fill the whole screen without some weird stretching or cropping, as there’s very little released in that 21:9 format.

And there’s also something deeper… something in us that we know is not shared by everyone. The fact that, well, we’re just a bit scruffy. A bit rough around the edges. A bit unfancy. And if there’s one thing this phone is, it’s fancy. Super fancy. Like, fancy fancy. And maybe that appeals to you. Maybe you’ll be swept away by all the superlatives in this LG BL40 chocolate review and start leaping at these LG BL40 Chocolate deals quicker than lemmings off a cliff. And good luck to you, we say, good luck. Just be aware that this is one hell of a fancy phone, and you may well find yourself the recipient of a fair few jealous / angry / baffled / mocking / (but mostly jeaous) looks after you do so.

Bah! Humbug! Curses! Gosh diddly darn it!

We hate it when those cynical phone manufacturing types get things right. Sometimes they take big risks and invest in new technologies that sometimes make our lives way more fun, but that sometimes fail and lose them lots of money. Sometimes they bow to pressure from our good selves and produce something fun / exciting / new / groundbreaking just to show that they care. But sometimes, just sometimes, they release things that are so downright annoyingly profitable that we just have to (cynically) applaud their efforts.

Step forward the LG GW300. A phone that offers pretty much nothing beyond a QWERTY keyboard. A phone that is actually going to be marketed as offering little more than a few pre-installed bits and bobs that will let you us said keyboard to update your Facebook or Twitter accounts with ease. Because it’s going to be sold very cheaply indeed, and all those who use Facebook too much, or understand what the hell Twitter is all about, are going to get very excited and buy these in the hundreds of thousands.

But with all these cheap LG GW300 deals, we hear you scream, surely LG won’t make that much? Ah, precious stupid reader, but you forget (already) that this thing is about as basic as phones get. That with no 3G, no Wi-Fi, no GPS and no lots of other things, it will cost LG about as much to make as the hourly wage of their underpaid workers in whatever god forsaken country these things are constructed in.

That’s the truth according to us, anyway. You can corroborate it, kind of, by reading the truth according to GSM Arena, or the truth according to this LG GW300 review.

We’ve been scathing about a few recent cameraphones, we’ll admit. This is mainly because, smart (and modest) as we are, we realise that the 12 megapixel promise actually guarantees nothing but enormous file sizes should you choose to shoot in the highest res mode. And given that most of these cameraphones have had little more than toy lenses attached to their light sensors, even if those light sensors have had megapixels crammed into them tighter than idiots into a Michael Jackson memorial concert they still wouldn’t take a decent picture.

The LG Louvre, however, has a decent looking lens from comedy-German-named lens experts Schneider-Kreuznach, manufacturers of millions (and millions) of very decent lenses over the last near-century of their existence. And, even if this might not be as scientific, if you have a little Google Image hunt, you’ll find that the back of the LG Louvre GC990 looks more like a dedicated camera than a phone. And, as looking at the kind of idiots that attend memorial services proves, you can more often than not judge by looks.

The Louvre, or GC990 as it will more likely be called once LG get their ducks in a row and actually confirm a release date for this thing, might actually just be the best of the upcoming batch of 12MP cameraphones… you heard it here first. Hear it second in this LG Louvre review. Have a look at these LG mobile phones. And watch this space…

It’s not often that we find we’ve got little to say here. But we’ve got little to say here. It’s all the fault of LG and whatever dodgy deals they’ve done with Orange and T-Mobile, because as we’ve come to review the LG GT505 (available exclusively on Orange, and coming to shelves very soon) we’ve realised that it is exactly – exactly! – the same as the GT500 reviewed a couple of posts earlier.

Which is no bad thing, of course. The GT500 (available exclusively on T-Mobile) is a pretty decent, if not groundbreaking mid-ranger. Something that’ll keep you ticking along nicely. We’re just a little stumped as to why the LG GT505 deserves a number all of its own, and a slightly less cool one than the GT500.

But wait… what’s that you say?…. you’ve found a difference? The GT505 comes preloaded with Wisepilot – a turn-by-turn navigation program that even offers voice instruction and a choice of 2D and 3D mapping. Good lord, that is indeed a difference… what’s that though? It only comes pre-loaded with a 30-day trail? Ah. Well then. That’s not really a difference at all, is it? Oh dear.

Anyway, we’re not at all suggesting the GT505 is bad, wrong, or even immoral. Though we might say that about LG themselves for trying to fob us off with even the hint that the GT505 is in any way original (or exclusive). Shame on them. Check out a LG GT505 review here to see for yourself it’s just-like-the-GT500-ness.

It’s not often than learning all about a new phone gives us goosebumps and a fear of going to sleep when the long day is done, but the GW520 has done just that. Promoting itself heavily via two main points – firstly, that you can use push technology to receive constant updates from both emails and social networking sites, and secondly that it’s high speed internet access and software will make uploading things like photos to sites such as Facebook – we realised that this might be a phone for ‘the kids.’ You know the ones. You might even be one. Playing loud music on the buses. Shouting and screaming at each other. And constantly taking pictures of each other doing the most boring, inane things. Look! Shazza’s yawning! Take a picture with your LG GW520. Look! Shazza’s stopped yawning! Take a picture! You know the ones.

So while the LG GW520 might not be for us, there’s definitely going to be a large audience for this phone. It’s internet is indeed fast at 7.2mps, its slide-out QWERTY keyboard might make style gurus vomit in their mouth a little, but for the kids with their nimble fingers, this will make messaging / emailing / Facebookstatusupdating happen even quicker than ever before. Pretty soon they won’t need to interact with the real world at all. Look! Shazza’s updating her status on he phone! Quick, take a… and so on. More specs and less early-middle-aged cynicism in this LG GW520 review. The LG GW520 will be available any day now on just about any provider you want.

Sometimes mobile phone manufacturers twist the truth. Sometimes they bend it. Sometimes they get it in one of those arm-behind-the-back locks that really hurt. Other times they just plain lie. And LG have dropped an absolute stinker on us today. With this sentence… wait for it, because you’ll like this… seriously, it’s impressive… “The stunning LG GT500 Puccini is a slim yet feature-packed touchscreen phone that will revolutionise the way you think about mobile communications.”

Now then. There’s several things we’re not going to dispute here about the LG GT500 Puccini. Firstly, “stunning.” Well, actually, it’s not. But it’s not bad looking either, so we’ll let that one go. “Slim.” Here we’ll agree. Not the slimmest, but at 12mm it’s certainly not obese. “…yet featured packed.” Again, we’re at arm bending ever so slightly back in a direction it’s not supposed to here, but it does have a lot of features that aren’t half bad (5MP camera with lots of cool add-ons, high-speed internet access, GPS, etc.) so we’ll let them have that too. Here’s where it gets tricky though: “…that will revolutionise the way you think about mobile communications.”

Right. So this phone will revolutionise, will absolutely turn on its head, turn inside out, upset, challenge, provoke and completely alter how you think about the entire mobile communication industry. Erm, it won’t. We’ve learnt all about this phone, seen it in action, read all the specs, read them again, read them a third time really slowly just in case we missed something, and we can categorially tell you that we have not experienced a revolution in how we think about mobile communications. To be honest, we didn’t even spin round once in our spinny office. We just nodded, thought that the GT500 Puccini (released very soon on T-Mobile only) was a pretty average phone that, as long as you can pick it up cheaply, would not be a bad choice really. Bearded Cuban men or angry Iranian people start revolutions. Sometimes, when something as startling as the first iPhone comes along, you might just about be able to squeeze the word revolution into a sentence. This is not one of those times. Shame on you, LG press release writers! Check out a less angry LG Puccini review here, where we promise the words revolution, cataclysmic, world-ending, tectonic or even brilliant are used.

Do you want to see the first ever transparent phone? Then you need to check out the LG GD900 Crystal. It was announced at the Mobile World Conference 2009 that this phone is to be released in the 2nd quarter of this year.

It was surely the most attractive item at the Mobile World Conference as it grabbed a lot of attention from the viewers. Its appearance gives a magnificent presence as it’s slim and sleek as it can be. Only 13mm thick and absolutely light weighted (according to the spectators from the Conference) you would start wondering how such a tiny item can carry so many sophisticated features. Further the transparent keypad is sliding and starts glowing when it’s opened. The beauty of it is that there is no visible wiring or any chip behind the glass-like pad.

However LG has not released any official specification information regarding this particular model. If you see the official press release you’d realize that these information will be made public only close to its global launch. This has got people anxiously looking for information about this phone because it’s going to be a key player in the market once it’s released. Not only because of its technology but also because it’s going to be seen as a fashion icon and everybody wants to be seen carrying one. The hype it has already created in the mobile phone communities is a good proof of that.

So if you’re one of those mobile lovers who want to be associated with the latest trends, you might want to get one of these as well. Before you purchase it you need to check and see what deals are available for LG GD900 Crystal. If you use GD900 Crystal contracts and deals to get a suitable network, you will be able to use all its features freely as the cost of the phone and the tariffs are according to your affordability. LG GD900 Crystal contracts will help those phone lovers who have excellent taste for the trendy models but cannot afford to pay such high prices.

So if you’re impressed with LG’s new innovative releases, you also need to check out more LG mobile phones and spread the word to everybody you know.

LG KT770 comes under the banner of the LG Series 60 and was announced to be released sometime around mid of this year. LG officially introduced it to the public this February at the Mobile World Conference 2009. Just like its LG’s other mobile phones, the KT770 also does not use Windows Mobile. Instead, it uses Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2.

It looks quite average but alright at the same time as the sliding keypad gives a business-like look. This model is quite thick at 15.8 but it doesn’t show so much as a disadvantage either. It is a quad-band phone equipped with global roaming. The camera is 5megapixel and autofocus, smile & face detection enabled. Furthermore you get digital zoom and panaroma also. The 2.8 WQVGA (240×400pixels) screen is accompanied by the 9-way navigation button and the soft keys on the face of the phone. Talk time and standby time is not known, however we do know that the battery is a 950mAh Li-Ion.

The in-built memory capacity is 2GB maximum but this can be increased up to 16GB with the use of microSD slot. There is also inbuilt GPS while internet can be accessed fast using HSDPA 7.2Mbps.

You also need to give some serious thought as to what network you’re going to choose for your phone. Because this will decide how frequently and easily you can use the features offered by the phone. Therefore you need to compare the deals available online for LG KT770. This way you can not only ensure cheap tariffs but also win some extra gifts and discounts alongside your phone. The LG KT770 will help you select from a wide range of service providers and go for the one that’s most suitable for you. These LG KT770 deals are kept updated so that you can receive the benefits as soon as it hits the market.
